Job Seeker Successes from December

One of our AAC job seekers John Ryan was recently successful in securing employment as a Cleaner at Coles Supermarket. Our dedicated team and John’s Employment Pathway Advisor assisted him in completing the Coles online application form which led to John being asked to attend an interview. He is now gainfully employed at Coles and AAC have been able to provide a bike, helmet and bike lock to enable him to get to work.

This is an incredible achievement for John who previously experienced long term unemployment. Well done!

Another recent success comes from job seeker William Siddon who recently achieved the milestone of receiving his own formal ID.

Sometimes it can be extremely difficult for our Jobseekers to obtain identification. In William case, it took him 4 months due to having to apply for a Change of Name Certificate, then a Birth Certificate and finally a WA Photo ID Card. With the help of AAC, William has been able to get through the lengthy application process and come out the other side successful!

William now has his own ID and is so grateful for his Case Manager Daria and Counsellor Jess’s efforts in helping him. Congratulations to William.
