last month we had the opportunity to meet with Bronwyn Campbell from De Grey Mining. Bronwyn was able to give us an overview of the company and the significant growth it has achieved since the discovery of the Hemi gold deposit in December 2019.

Located 45 minutes from Port Hedland, De Grey Mining believe that Hemi is shaping up as one of the most important gold discoveries made in Western Australia in recent decades and it has transformed the perception the gold potential of the Pilbara.

Their team has taken De Grey from grassroots exploration through to a major discovery. They are now rapidly progressing resource infill drilling while continuing to drill test new areas and progress project studies. Ultimately, they are aiming to become a Tier 1 gold producer from Hemi.

They are intending to continue to expand their team in critical areas such as safety geology, mining engineering, administration, finance/accounting, human resources through to a projected construction of a 1000-person camp in mid-2023.

De Grey Mining currently employ over 200 people, and AAC Hedland are looking forward to partnering with with them to assist in further recruitment.

AAC Employment Service Team members Kristy Allison, George Cartwright, Bronwyn Campbell (Manager Community Relations) De Grey Mining, NIAA Staff Adam, Michelle Kivits-AAC Regional Manager and Rachel Dhu (NIAA).
