Fortescue Metals Group has been providing opportunities for Aboriginal people to kick start their careers and secure employment through the Vocational Training and Employment Centre.

Fortescue’s commitment to providing sustainable career pathways is helping members of our community achieve big success, with the VTEC program guaranteeing jobs for those who successfully complete training.

Three of our AAC staff – Kayla, Kristy and Tim – were invited by Fortescue to celebrate the achievements of their recent Vocational Training and Employment Centre graduates.

Following the successful completion of the VTEC program, the newest members of the Fortescue family will be joining the CloudBreak Operations.

An additional congratulations to AAC Job Seekers Alex Taylor, Christopher Shaw and Shanni Ishuiguchi who have been successful in securing employment with Fortescue Mining.

It’s fantastic to see so many of our AAC job seekers training hard and securing their future.

Well done everyone.
