On the 25th of November, a number of our AAC staff took part in this years “Hedland Says No to Family Violence March.”
AAC provided our Yurrama water for this event and setup several water stations to ensure everyone remained hydrated. This event was part of ’16 Days in WA’ which runs from the 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) through to December 10 (Human Rights Day) each year. The campaign now in its fifth year takes its inspiration from the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence to drive a change in culture, behaviour and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children.
