Seven of our 9 QUBE candidates recently attended orientation at Pundulmurra Campus TAFE. After orientation was completed, the candidates attended a mentoring session at the AAC Harwell site where we discussed interview techniques, self-confidence, and looking at turning negative attitudes into positive ones.
This was followed up with a “Brainiac” session with Jess from “Bloodwood Tree”. Jess’s session focused on the brain and mental health which sparked some very surprising conversations! It is wonderful to see a very positive peer group forming and some very positive conversations being had.
Kristy Allison from our Employment Services team has produced a calendar to cover the TAFE weeks. This will enable the QUBE candidates to keep on top of their study requirements. The candidates will attend TAFE from 8.30am to 12.30pm – Monday to Thursday for the next five weeks. AAC will bus them to and from TAFE. In the afternoons we will continue sessions with Jess, they will undertake medicals, mentoring sessions and interview training.
Congratulations to Sebastian Ginger, Jefferson Corbett, Aaron Woodley, Zenith Ahchoo, Shona Mckie, Byron Samson, Zach Cross, and Gaydon Charlie who are our current QUBE candidates.
