Overcoming Challenges and Achieving Career Milestones with AAC’s Support
Brandi, a dedicated jobseeker with AAC since August 2022, has truly shown her quiet confidence and unwavering determination throughout her journey. Despite being an introvert, she possesses a strong will that will undoubtedly lead her to success in any path she chooses.
Upon review of Brandi’s resume by our team in Paraburdoo, it became evident that many of the roles she aspired to required a manual driver’s licence – a requirement she did not meet with her automatic licence. However, AAC’s Learn 2 Drive Program stepped in to fill the gap, allowing Brandi to enrol in driving lessons and obtain the necessary manual driver’s licence.
After successfully navigating a job interview, Brandi landed a position as a Mine Site Cleaner with Eastern Guruma in Paraburdoo in June 2023. With AAC’s continued support, she has excelled in her role and attained additional certifications, including a Forklift Licence, Fire Extinguisher test and tag certification, First Aid and CPR training, and a manual driver’s licence. Brandi is diligently working towards completing her White Card, further enhancing her skill set and employability.
Throughout her journey, Brandi has been provided with transport assistance to ensure she could attend her training courses and driving lessons. This culminated in her successfully completing the driving test in just one sitting. The Learn 2 Drive Program has proven to be a valuable resource for job seekers like Brandi, offering essential lessons and support in obtaining crucial licences.
Praised by her employers for her reliability and strong work ethic, Brandi has seamlessly integrated into the team at Eastern Guruma. AAC takes pride in Brandi’s progress and achievements, highlighting her success as a testament to the benefits of commitment to the CDP program in shaping a successful career journey. As Brandi prepares to exit the program, she is equipped with a wealth of certifications and licences and poised to continue her upward trajectory in her career path.
