AAC breaks down employment barriers. Aaron Rule achieved his proudest moment this month when he passed his Learner Theory test, despite his bilateral profound hearing loss.
This was Aaron Rule’s all-time proudest moment. Aaron passed the Learner Theory test and obtained his Learners Permit this month.
Aaron is a 25-year-old Indigenous man who has bilateral profound hearing loss, and uses Australian Sign Language (Auslan) to communicate. With assistance from his mother for translation, Aaron was given the test orally, with some questions rephrased for better understanding. Nothing was stopping him from succeeding. Aaron breezed through the exam and scored an impressive 28/30.
The AAC team were delighted to see Aaron happy with the result. This was a fantastic effort for all involved in getting Aaron on his way to driving and independence.
