Kane’s Journey to Success

A Promising Start

Meet Kane, a dynamic 21-year-old from the Wakathuni Community, located 30 km south of Tom Price. Kane was inspired by his uncle Beasley James, a respected Bunjima elder and a valued member of the Ashburton Aboriginal Corporations (AAC) TPRJ team. This inspiration led Kane to join our initiative in February 2024.

Mentorship and Growth

Beasley’s positive impact on the community motivated Kane to seize the opportunities provided by AAC. With the support of our team and his uncle’s mentorship, Kane has built his confidence and recognised his self-worth. His dedication is evident in his active involvement in community projects and activities. Kane has impressively earned certifications in Manual Learner’s Permit, White Card, Load Restraints, Loader & Excavator Operations, Forklift Operations, and Working at Heights.

A Bright Future Ahead

Kane’s latest achievement is securing a maintenance role at the Auski Roadhouse, where we have received glowing feedback from his supervisor. His commitment and integrity have not gone unnoticed, and we are excited to see his continued success.
