AAC Hedland were able to assist job seeker Aaron Woodley in providing him accommodation at Mirnutharntu. He has made the most out of this situation and is seeking to improve his life in general.
His preference for employment has been within the building industry and in particular carpentry. With that knowledge, Dan O’Neil one of our newest AAC Hedland staff members, has assisted Aaron with an apprenticeship opportunity with Murray at MP O’Brien Building, Dan set up an interview for Arron as a result of this interview, Murry was very impressed with Aaron’s enthusiasm and attitude. Aaron is on his way to fulfilling his career goal.
Dan said this outcome so far has been a team effort and in his opinion without the prior contact with Vic and our AAC mentoring team, he’s pretty certain that there would be no way that Aaron would have been in the position to take on this apprenticeship. Just goes to show how well things can turn out when are part of a team.
