Based in our Karratha office, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Human Resources team as a Trainee Recruiter. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and grow into a successful recruitment professional within the blue-collar mining, civil, and construction sectors.

As a Trainee Recruiter, you will work closely with experienced professionals to support the end-to-end recruitment process while building strong relationships across the organisation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with liaising with hiring managers to support the end-to-end recruitment process.

• Draft and post job vacancy advertisements on Yurra’s website, job boards, and external advertising platforms.

• Support the shortlisting and pre-screening of candidates.

• Participate in scheduling and conducting interviews.

• Assist with reference and pre-employment checks.

• Help coordinate PPE and support the onboarding process for new employees.

• Manage recruitment inbox inquiries and direct information to the relevant hiring managers.

• Assist in compiling recruitment reports and maintaining accurate records.

• Contribute to process improvements for more efficient recruitment outcomes.

• Learn and support the use of HR and recruitment systems.

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
