AAC is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef / Cook to join our team at Auski Roadhouse. Auski Roadhouse is a welcoming and busy roadhouse located in the heart of Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high standards and managing kitchen resources. This role demands flexibility, as significant overtime will be required to meet the needs of our bustling roadhouse which operates 7 days per week. Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of meals, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Cater to special dietary requirements and preferences of guests.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Cert 4 Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Minimum At least two years of experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle high-volume service.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work significant overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Passion for delivering high-quality food and service.
