Empowering the Community Through Education and Training
On 24th September, the Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation (AAC), in partnership with Pilbara Kimberley University Centres, hosted a successful Workforce Readiness information session at the Village Green in Tom Price.
The event focused on Vocational Training and Solutions (VTS), under the theme Preparing for the Workforce and Advancing Your Career. It was designed to help individuals gain the skills and confidence needed to enter or progress within the workforce.

Strong Local Engagement and Interest
Local job seekers, community members, and representatives from various organisations attended the session. There was a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day, with attendees showing strong interest in career development and educational pathways.
Exploring Regional Opportunities
Participants had the chance to connect with training providers and learn about employment opportunities available across the Pilbara region. The session aimed to promote accessible pathways for personal and professional growth.
Community Connections and Conversations
To conclude the event, a relaxed community sausage sizzle was held. This provided an informal space for attendees to network, ask questions, and build relationships with local organisations and peers.
