Last year, SAFE Karratha was generously gifted a new vehicle to support the important work they do in our community. While the vehicle was a fantastic addition, it quickly highlighted the need for a safe, practical and durable space to park it. AAC saw an opportunity to turn that need into a hands-on community project with real outcomes.
In partnership with Carey Training Group, AAC supported participants to construct a brand-new driveway while completing a Certificate II in Civil Construction, gaining valuable practical skills and experience along the way.
The project created more than just new infrastructure. It provided opportunities for participants to build confidence, strengthen teamwork skills, gain qualifications, and contribute to something meaningful within the community.
