AAC attends the 2025 Aboriginal Housing Conference WA, exploring new funding, training, and partnerships for stronger First Nations housing outcomes.

Brad Dumbleton and Michelle Kivits proudly represented Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation at the 2025 Aboriginal Housing Conference WA, where more than 25 Indigenous organisations came together to share ideas, build connections, and strengthen housing outcomes across the State. The event featured practical training sessions, sector networking, and detailed insights into funding pathways and governance models. Highlights included Shelter WA’s capability program and its $50,000 traineeship grants, along with innovative housing design discussions led by Housed Djinda. Hon. John Carey BA MLA addressed attendees, reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to Aboriginal-led housing initiatives. With $600 million in new funding for First Nations housing announced for 2026, AAC is excited to explore new opportunities, develop partnerships, and continue advocating for better housing solutions for our communities.
