A local Port Hedland business is seeking candidates who are interested in completing an Apprenticeship. This candidate will need to be highly motivated and personable and have the ability to work in a safe, efficient and hygienic fashion while ensuring that the high quality of food standards is maintained.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Hospitality
  • Be punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic


  • Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be willing to work and learn
  • Must be fully vaccinated before applying

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Liaise on a daily basis with kitchen management to formulate daily priorities
  • Work in the kitchen as directed on a diary basis
  • Ensure that your work is carried out in a timely and efficient fashion
  • Minimise wastage at all times
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times
  • Anticipate and attend to the guest’s needs and desires immediately
  • Help produce an environment of learning and professionalism
  • Carry out any other related duties as directed by senior Chefs
  • Maintain an acceptable degree of knowledge with regard to food product
  • Comply with all of the established hotel operational policies & procedures
  • Have a full knowledge of, and practice all of the hotel’s established OH&S guidelines
